Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify, evaluate, and select suppliers for raw materials, components, and services.
Negotiate contracts, terms, and prices to ensure competitive procurement.
Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key suppliers to ensure stable supply.
Monitor supplier performance on quality, delivery, and lead times, addressing any issues promptly.
Conduct supplier audits and performance evaluations to ensure compliance with company standards.
Develop risk management strategies for key suppliers and ensure supply continuity.
Manufacturing Procurement PlanningDevelop and implement procurement plans to meet production requirements and schedules.
Collaborate with the production team to ensure materials are available on time for production runs.
Monitor inventory levels to avoid stock-outs or overstocking, managing lead times effectively.
Align procurement strategies with production forecasts and budget constraints.
Coordinate procurement budgeting with finance, ensuring cost control measures are in place.
Non-Manufacturing ProcurementManage procurement of non-production goods and services (office supplies, IT equipment, etc.).
Negotiate with suppliers for cost-effective solutions while maintaining quality and service levels.
Collaborate with internal departments to understand and fulfill their procurement needs.
Ensure timely delivery of non-manufacturing goods and services.
Track and manage non-manufacturing procurement costs, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
