Job ResponsibilitiesTo be responsible for the sourcing activities of the new project, which may involve active/passive devices or components, mechanical parts, resins, and packaging material.
To perform commercial assessment on new and existing vendors and coordinate quality audits on new/potential suppliers.
To ensure proper documentation and contractual agreements with potential suppliers.
Make recommendations on cost and performance of alternate product sourcing.
Ensure all sourcing activities meet the targeted specification requirements, cost, quality, and delivery.
To work with various disciplines from other cross-functional departments and customers on sourcing activities.
Monitor and secure material protobuilt volume to ensure schedules are met.
To prepare and update price lists and supplier details to ensure smooth procurement activities.
To evaluate and review the training needs of subordinates to ensure competent and adequate training is provided to carry out their jobs accordingly.
To abide by the company's liability/exposure policy for new products/customers.
To be responsible for maintaining good housekeeping (5S), proper teamwork, and coordination between all other departments in achieving compliance with the company's Quality, Environmental & Occupational Health & Safety Management System.
Responsible for purchasing Direct Material for Production.
Review system Planned Orders against Time-Phased Planning Overview and confirm the Planned Orders Quantity, Delivery Time, and Supplier.
Issue Purchase Orders to Suppliers and follow up on Order Acknowledgement with Suppliers' Estimated Arrival Date.
Update Suppliers' Estimated Arrival Date into PO system and follow up on actual delivery to ensure materials arrive on time for production.
Process claims to Suppliers on goods return or other claims incurred.
Process AP matching in the system.
Attend Project Meetings to identify new project demands, schedules, and procurement needs.
Responsible for monitoring inventory levels and ensuring the Inventory Holding Days meet MBO targets.
Prepare material claims to project leaders or business development should there be any material ECN or project EOL.
Ensure continuous improvement in terms of quality, lead time of delivery, minimizing inventory turn, and managing the material cost reduction program.
To perform any other duties as assigned by the superior(s) from time to time.
RequirementsDiploma/Degree in Business/Economics/Management or equivalent.
Preferably candidates with 2 years in Sourcing/Purchasing/Production Planning/Material Control in the manufacturing environment.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
