Procurement Manager

Job Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee supplier international sourcing, evaluation, assessment, and selection processes, ensuring strategic alignment with company goals.Develop and implement procurement strategies to achieve optimal purchasing conditions, including quality, price, delivery, and service agreements.Build and maintain strong relationships with key vendors, driving continuous improvement in vendor management processes.Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, providing actionable insights for improvement and addressing any issues promptly.Ensure accurate and compliant maintenance of procurement documentation and records, adhering to both company policies and statutory requirements.Lead initiatives to identify cost-saving opportunities and drive continuous development/improvement in procurement processes.Oversee logistics, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods, including import shipments, and resolve any supply chain disruptions.Provide leadership, training, and mentorship to the procurement team to enhance productivity and performance.Collaborate closely with other departments (such as finance and production) to ensure seamless supply chain integration and operational efficiency.Prepare and present procurement reports and analyses to senior management, ensuring informed decision-making.Manage and execute ad-hoc duties and special projects as assigned by senior management.Requirements:
Candidate must possess at least a Diploma/Bachelor's Degree, or Professional Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent. Knowledge or experience in the Chemicals industry is an added advantage.Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.Proficient in using procurement software (e.g., MRP/SAP) and strong computer literacy.Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.Strong problem-solving, planning, and organizational abilities, with a proven track record of driving process improvements.Ability to work well under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and make decisions independently.Fluency in English, Mandarin, and Bahasa Malaysia (both written and spoken).Applicant must be willing to work in Bukit Selambau, Kedah.
