Procurement Representative (MNC/Indirect & Equipment)We are looking for a Procurement Representative to join our team located in Sunway, Selangor.
As the Procurement Representative, you will be responsible for purchasing activities and ensuring security of supply, quality of the product, and competitive rates while complying with the policy.
What You Will Do:
Responsible for country spending and executepurchasing activities and operation in accordance with procurement strategy for specific assignment for Indirect, Capital expenditure (CAPEX) & Business Equipment.
Contacts, selects, and negotiates with vendors to help ensure high quality levels, supply assurance, and competitive rate.
Evaluates vendor reliability and follows up on any problems regarding the use of purchased materials.
Establish contract and pricelist for materials for supply assurance.
Makes recommendations to engineering/stakeholders on substitutions and standardization of parts.
Learns and applies Total Delivered Cost (TDC) sourcing process tools and skills to execute sourcing initiatives.
May use pre-call plan and submit sourcing recommendation.
Identifies, develops, and implements sourcing strategies and savings projects.
Engage key stakeholders (inc. engineering, country/market/regional or global procurement associates, Function/Business Unit associates) to achieve project milestones and action plan.
Support all Business unit (for Equipment) and Supply Chain (for Indirect) across the country for lower delivered cost through TDC model and savings initiatives.
Ensure contract compliance and manage the effective delivery of services/goods in line with project timelines and objectives.
Prepare monthly savings reports and pipeline and savings consolidation into the procurement portal.
Assist in reporting dashboard for procurement country performance.
Assist in reviewing key suppliers' performance KPI and country annual audit.
May also contribute to work in a specialty area such as compliance, systems and processes, and digitalization.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering/Chemistry/Mechanical Engineering
At least3 years of professional experiencewith procurement background inequipment/indirect sourcing , including experience/interest in chemical will be an advantage.
High attention to detail, self-motivated, meticulous, and independent.
Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Willing to work under pressure.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact with multiple levels of management, across functional and business areas.
Preferred Qualifications:
Open for direct (chemical) sourcing will be an advantage.
Relevant experience in Supply Chain Operations (i.e.
Logistics, Import Export, EPC).
Ideally a candidate from the chemical/petrochemical/energy industry.
Fluency in written and spoken English for Business.
