**Role Summary**:As a Sourcing Specialist you will take ownership for the sourcing and buying process. You will provide support to cross-functional teams on a variety of projects that will require your knowledge and contribution.Using your knowledge of the market and vendors, you will build trusted relationships with suppliers and internal teams.**Essential Responsibilities**:- Managing supplier relationships to understand the business, gather market intelligence, assess risk, and ensure compliance to KPIs.- Providing guidance to cross-functional teams to support projects, procedures, and processes.- Overseeing the sourcing and buying process to ensure products are delivered according to quality, specifications, and budgets.- Managing the purchase operations to ensure purchase orders meet budget, On-Time-Delivery, and productivity targets.- Create and follow up on Purchase orders.- Initiate Requests for quote (RFQs), execute Purchase Orders and perform procurement activities within project requirements, budget, schedule, and in accordance with company procedures.- Manage relationships with suppliers for PO execution.- Solicit and evaluate proposals employing appropriate negotiation, cost, and price analysis techniques, using available expertise.- Exposure to contract management and setting agreements.- Manage problems and schedule changes.- Handles communication with direct colleagues and the business about design and coordination services rendered.- Contributes to project as a team member.- Work goals typically take 1-3 month to complete, and results are seen immediately or within 1-2 months.**Qualifications/Requirements**:- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in engineering, supply chain, commerce, or relevant field (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 8-10 years of experience in Sourcing).- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Procurement/Buying/Contracts.- Demonstrate excellent communication skills and an ability to build trusting relationships with internal customers and suppliers.- Demonstrate the ability to quickly learn new products and business areas.- Have some knowledge of General accounting in SAP.- Working with international suppliers**Additional Details: -**- **Contract duration**: 12 months (min 3-month probation) **Renewable Annually**:- **Other Allowances**: Completion Bonus based on performance only.- **Rotation/Work Schedule**: Mon - Fri / 8.30AM - 5.30PM- **Location**: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.**Job Type**: ContractContract length: 12 months**Salary**: Up to RM7,000.00 per monthSchedule:- Monday to FridayAbility to commute/relocate:- Kuala Lumpur: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)**Experience**:- Buyer: 3 years (required)
