**Roles and Responsibilities**- The main responsibility of the procurement specialist is to procure and expedite materials which will include:- Purchase materials and services that comply with the agreed upon specifications and requirement, as well as using contract/standard pricing with suppliers- Manage the performance of existing suppliers on delivery, quality, price and services- Good Communication skills and understand material requirements based on project requirements and production plan.- Align KPIs with the company's goal and meets the KPI set.- Create Optimus SAP PO- Review of supplier order confirmations / order acknowledgements- Host Kick Off Meeting with Supplier & OSS Eng., QA, PM, Welding.- MPS, FA, Weld Spec and ITP Coordination- Conduct Pre-Production Meetings with vendors to ensure all specific requirements are clearly conveyed.- Raise Deviations/Mat-Subs/Technical queries, Concessions- Manage Revision Changes- Work with Engineering, Quality and Project Management to align project priorities- Supplier Schedule Reviews- Update PO change & conduct PO maintenance.- Support coordination of NOI, witness & inspection on site Supplier- Inventory control, Reschedules and expediting, PO Cancellations- Clarify & investigate invoicing issues- GRIR- NCRs, SDRs and CPARs include RTV, Return/Rework- Follow up with suppliers to resolve documentation issues related to MRBs- Attend meetings to review part issues/defects found by QC/Warehouse/Pre-release docs- Managing Finance Cash Hold- Involve the Procurement Specialist Spot Buyer (PSC) in spot buys.- Very disciplined and takes initiatives- Escalate complex issues to the Category Procurement Leader- Participate in continuous improvement projects.- Use all required procurement tools when required or mandated by process (OMT, Power BI, BOM Downloader, Ariba, ASL, QUEST)- Ensure compliance to all health, safety and environment policies.**Experience**:- Minimum 2 years relevant experience in a manufacturing environment**Education**:- Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Logistics or Supply Chain Management or equivalent**Preferred Skills/ Competencies**:- Knowledge in SAP R/3 is preferred- Good negotiation skills and exposure in Six Sigma is added advantage- Familiar with reading and understanding technical drawings- Respond to the needs of internal customers- Responsible and independent- Resourceful- Oral and written skills are mandatory- Strong arithmetic skills- Trained to work the SAP system**Job Types**: Full-time, PermanentPay: From RM4,000.00 per month**Benefits**:- Health insurance- Meal allowance- Opportunities for promotion- Professional developmentSchedule:- Monday to FridaySupplemental pay types:- 13th month salary- Performance bonusAbility to Commute:- Johor Bahru (required)Ability to Relocate:- Johor Bahru: Relocate before starting work (required)
