Product Manager, AWM Retail SG and MY based in MalaysiaLife Unlimited. At Smith+Nephew, we design and manufacture technology that takes the limits off living.Responsible for the development, implementation and execution of Malaysia and Singapore's AWM Retail marketing strategy in this region to drive aggressive growth outcomes in the assigned market. Provides pro-active support to all areas of the business include ecommerce through expertise on their allocated clinical areas or product platforms. Expertise includes assisting with team decision making, advice and communication of competitive strategies, product positioning in these countries, market pricing strategies, product lifecycle management, customer segmentation, and market led programs. Alongside the Regional based marketing activity, the role may require participation on a global market team that leads the global strategic and commercialisation activities of a clinical segment or product platform for the assigned business.What will you be doing?Accountable for building brand equity and driving consumer demand through development and execution of marketing plans with deep understanding of Malaysia & Singapore market needs, consumer fundamentals and business key performance indicators.Develop close partnership with distributors, trade marketing to find opportunities, develop and implement annual marketing plans in alignment with Sr. BUM AWM Retail ASEAN.Develop and implement brand execution, activations, advertising, promotion for the deployment of the brand marketing plan.Drive consumer demand for the brand through the deployment of different marketing mix in both online and offline store.Lead in-store brand activities, promotion deployment, POSM development, marketing collaterals, brand events and related operational activities.Digital marketing activations (social media, websites, ecommerce, analytics) to drive consumer brand equity and demand.Responsible in managing brand budget. Monitor and control A&P expenditure within budget allocations.Lead ongoing analysis and review of brand performance, promotional programs and competitive information, category trend and consumer preference and behaviour.Provide timely reports and analytics where required.Drive cross collaboration with functional teams such as Supply Chain, Finance, Regulatory,Quality and Compliance to ensure brand plan execution.Provide brand leadership and direction to sales teams and drive close collaboration to implement product's sales and distribution.Monitor business performance to ensure commercial alignment and that brand plans are driven effectively to with maximum impact.Maintain and build relationship with key customers, opinion leaders and to drive achieve business outcome in modern trade.Performs any other duties assigned and ad-hoc required.To always act in a responsible manner to avoid risk to self or to the company and align with the workplace safety and health and security policy.Any other duties involved within the role and/or the tasks as assigned from time to time.What will you need to be successful?Success in the role will require a combination of technical knowledge, soft skills, and a deep understanding of both the business and service-providing sides of an organization. Successful candidates would need the following:Bachelor's degree in Sales and Marketing, Business Administration, or related fieldProven 4- 6 years of experience in Brand or Product Management. Candidates with experience in the Consumer Healthcare Segment or Consumer Packaged Goods Segment will be added advantage.Experience in digital space – social media, ecommerce, analytics is required.A strong communicator with ability to work within a cross functional team environment.Strong communication and presentation skills.You.
