Product Manager, Powertrain Solution, AsiaThis position is required to lead Power solution offering to data centre customers in Asia, revolving around Vertiv Power solution category products across different product lines e.g.
UPS system, Power distribution, Switchgear, Busway, static switches, DC Power systems, etc., with a clear focus of establishing Vertiv as a trusted advisor in Power system level design and solution for the critical infrastructure in Asia Region.
This will drive the solution of data centre design architecture in such a way as to generate and maximise Vertiv Power portfolio penetration with a clear differentiating skill that helps customers to design infrastructure around Vertiv products.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support customers and consultants in designing end-to-end Power Management solutions that support complex critical infrastructure, and provide application engineering support with the help of factory/product managers.
Work closely with consultants and customers to hard spec Vertiv to differentiate ourselves from the competition.
Develop application engineering, solution differentiating, and pitch integrated solutions in the region.
Understand market size, conduct market studies, collect Voice of Customers, and work with engineering to develop winning integrated products and solutions.
Enable the sales team to effectively pitch to the client independently and create TCO stories for customers to select Vertiv as a trusted advisor.
Create competitive strategy and position our products in the market.
Support technical queries and work with the internal design team to provide full solutions to customers.
Help the sales team to technically present to customers.
Create and develop the organization within the matrix structure that is best suited to grow the business, requiring travel and maximum customer interface.
Identify product gaps, decide strategy, and drive demand with the help of sales organization and marketing.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably with experience in the data centre/critical infrastructure field.
Minimum 10 years or more experience in the electrical system design market in SEA/NA and/or ANZ.
Preferably knowledgeable in current technology trends, AI powered solution needs, power distribution and UPS products for more than 7 years.
In-depth knowledge of competitors' landscape, standards and design practices, and emerging technologies in the Asia market.
Knowledge of Data Center applications in power system design and architecture.
Technical presentation skills and skilled in customer and consultant interaction; public speaking.
Good written, oral communication and presentation skills, with experience working with people across a multi-cultural environment.
Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative; good team player.
