Job Summary:
The Production Clerk is responsible for assisting the Supervisor in daily production schedule adherence and promoting safe and healthy production environment practices. This role involves recording and coordinating the flow of work and materials between departments, examining orders for goods, and preparing production schedules.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Examine orders and compile data for production schedules.
Check inventories and prepare delivery schedules.
Examine containers to ensure they are filled and record quantities.
Investigate and identify supply sources and prepare and process purchase orders.
Count incoming stock, reconcile it with requisitions, and update inventory and stock location records.
Ensure all materials, supplies, and tools required for the day's activities are available to the Associates.
Ensure compliance with manufacturing procedures in a consistent manner in all workstations, equipment, and manufacturing stages.
Provide safety equipment to associates and monitor for use.
Report unsafe conditions or acts to the Supervisor, as well as problems with equipment and/or materials.
Maintain fill and closure reports.
Audit to deliver quality.
Review stock of expandable materials.
Track floor expenses (Inventory).
Prepare material release reports (status).
Follow up on MTRs.
Support and/or participate in activities related to improvement projects.
Ensure staff abides by the dress code and PPE.
Receive, train, and certify new direct operator staff (Induction course support).
Perform any reasonable task assigned by a Superior from time to time.
Minimum & Preferred Qualifications and Experience:
Minimum Qualifications:
SPM with 1 year of working experience in manufacturing.
Basic computer literacy.
Basic English literacy.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of MRP & Agile management.
Experience in electronic manufacturing.
Holding SPM or Sijil Kemahiran would be advantageous.
Education:
Professional Certificate or SPM.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
This position works primarily in an office environment. It requires sitting, standing, and walking frequently. Daily use of computer and other digital devices is required. Employees may be on their feet for extended periods during meetings or while walking around the premises.
