Duties & Responsibilities To report directly to Production Manager/ Assistant Production Manager and work closely with him to achieve departmental objective.
To ensure the company's quality system is understood in the department and implemented.
To work closely with production planner to initiate Daily Production Schedule with the reference to Master Production Schedule to meet customer orders and be able to deliver timely.
To monitor, review and make improvement if required on all existing manufacturing processes which including the air flow testing at spray dried plant and chimney.
To assist department head in month end closing and reporting.
To review process parameters and manufacturing log sheets.
To recommend any improvements, preventive actions and corrective actions where appropriate.
To review daily production report and to monitor actual production against the production schedule.
To ensure corrective and preventive action is taken for product, process, and system non-conformances and to follow-up on the offences of the action taken.
To lead shift supervisor to achieve smooth and efficient running of plant to meet operation target.
To train and develop technicians and improve competency and knowledge.
To carry out audits, inspections, and HIRARC assessment.
To detect existing or potential health and safety hazards, gaps identification and recommend corrective and preventive measures.
To maintain a safe working environment with awareness and knowledge of site EHS standards and ensure compliance with local, state and federal EHS regulations.
To perform any other ad-hoc task as and when required by the superior.
Requirements Candidate should possess at least a Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
At least 2 years related experience manufacturing environment.
Working experience in chemical manufacturing industry is an added advantage.
Computer literate in AutoCAD.
Experience in spray dried plant or filter bag system is an advantage.
Good knowledge in ISO 9001 is an added advantage.
Able to work beyond normal working hours when necessary.
Able to work independently or with minor supervision.
Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.
