Production Engineer (Klang)

CORE RESPONSIBILITY 1.
Supervises staff to include hiring, training, evaluating performance, providing compensation recommendations, and determining disciplinary actions when necessary.
2.
Supervises function of the batch process that typically involves a single or less complex product line(s), ensures resources and personnel are available and allocated to meet operational demand, responds to employee and management questions and concerns, and monitors safety & quality aspects during batch processing.
3.
Develops, analyzes and reviews a variety of operational reports within the function(s) to improve quality, efficiency, cycle times, and volumes, and implements operational changes as required.
4.
Develops operating policies and procedures to ensure the efficient use of resources, maintain a safe environment, and produce quality products.
5.
Ensures production schedules, quality initiatives, safety targets, efficiency metrics, and other operational measurements are met for the function(s).
6.
Ensures compliance with department policies and procedures and applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
7.
Works with Filling supervisors, Warehouse Supervisors, maintenance or management to review production quality, safety, and other operations, implement department activities, and solve operational problems.
8.
Assists with reviewing and coordinating general plant operations with shipping, scheduling, inventory management, and sales activities by reviewing reports and operations and other information as required or directed.
9.
May read batch ticket or other production information, ensure container are correct, and physically load Finished good according to the batch ticket and steps.
10.
May monitor batch processing instruments, equipment, and schedules to ensure product is filled according to specifications.
11.
Performs other duties as assigned.
