Manage the day-to-day operations on the production floor.
Lead and manage production staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
Optimize the use of production resources, including labour, equipment, and materials.
Monitor production costs and implement cost-saving initiatives to ensure production is carried out within budgetary constraints.
Monitor production lines to ensure the right quantity and quality of products are met and produced on time.
Work closely with the QAQC department to implement corrective measures for any quality issues.
Work closely with Export, Sales, Planner, R&D, QAQC, Warehouse and Maintenance teams to ensure smooth communication between departments to avoid production delays.
Ensure products comply with food safety standards (FSSC 22000, HACCP, ISO, GMP, & HALAL) and regulatory requirements.
Ensure labour is effectively utilized to meet production targets.
Ensure machinery, tools, and equipment are properly maintained and operational.
Ensure the work environment meets safety and health regulations.
Perform regular audits to ensure compliance with hygiene and safety standards.
Analyse and report on production costs, wastage, and efficiency.
Requirements:
Candidate must possess at least a Degree in Food Science/Food Technology/Microbiology or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years experience and above in this position.
Experience in the food industry will be an added advantage.
Able to work independently with minimum supervision and well-equipped with multi-tasking ability.
Possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiar or knowledgeable in FSSC22000, GMP, HACCP, and ISO quality management systems and other food-related regulations will be an added advantage.
