Position
The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing and improving production processes to achieve operational excellence. This role involves managing production KPIs, optimizing workflows, and ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards while fostering continuous improvement and cost-efficiency. Additionally, the Production Manager's responsibilities include facility management.
Responsibilities
Improve production KPIs through strategic planning and operational excellence.
Create and implement production systems, including Kanban and other efficiency tools.
Optimize overall production layout based on production processes and material flow.
Evaluate employee performance and ensure adherence to production flow, operator maps, and other instructions.
Support new projects, facility adjustments, and products by setting up and managing new production lines.
Maintain and oversee facility equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
Initiate and maintain preventative maintenance schedules and spare parts programs.
Create, monitor, and manage the production budget to align with business objectives.
Drive and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements across the production floor.
Collaborate with other departments (Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Logistics) to align production goals with overall company objectives.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering) or a similar related field.
5+ years of work experience as a Production Manager, Production Engineer, or Manufacturing Engineer; managerial experience is a plus.
Strong knowledge of production systems, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma principles.
Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop teams.
Excellent English communication skills (speaking, listening, and writing) for reporting and presentations.
Proficiency in MS Office and production planning systems, with SAP experience as a plus.
Strong analytical thinking, judgment, and decision-making skills.
Certification in production or inventory management (e.g., CPIM) or Lean Six Sigma is a plus.
Open-minded and adaptable with a strong sense of urgency and problem-solving skills.
