Production Planning Executive

Job ResponsibilitiesEarly involvement to gain product knowledge and understand the process flow.
Responsible for planning with respect to ATL and volume production, as well as scheduling for pre-production series.
Work with PQ to register item codes for subparts and finished goods in the ERP system.
Ensure the BOM and Routing are accurately maintained in the ERP system.
Production Scheduling - Volume ProductionLiaise with Customer and BD to confirm the PO and update the customer on any changes to the delivery status.
Coordinate and supervise overall production planning and subcontract activities regarding manpower, production build plan, material control, and proper shipping documentation.
Liaise with Business Development on customer forecasts and orders.
Simulate the production build plan with minimum inventory liability exposures, ensuring customer requirements are met at all times.
Review production capacity and process yield with operations and IE periodically and plan accordingly.
Highlight any abnormalities on the production floor to the Head of Production Planning and Operations, and work out recovery plans with relevant departments.
Ensure any changes to the BOM and Routing are updated in the system on time.
Closely monitor inventory stock levels to ensure inventory turns meet management targets.
Follow up on subcontractor material movement and resolve all inventory discrepancies with them.
Continuously develop subcontractors and closely monitor their performance to ensure compliance with our requirements.
Compile Finished Goods and subparts liability reports during Model EOL or ECN, and coordinate with BD for liability claims.
Review all relevant production planning and subcontract procedures and process flows periodically to ensure compliance with Production Planning Procedures.
Ensure all production control staff are adequately trained to perform their assigned duties and that the training plan is reviewed and implemented accordingly.
Communicate all issues related to production control activities with internal support staff or external suppliers and customers, if necessary.
Maintain good housekeeping (5S), proper teamwork, and coordination between all departments to achieve compliance with the company's Quality, Environmental & Occupational Health & Safety Management System.
Perform any other duties as assigned by superiors from time to time.
