Responsibilities:Supervise and lead the production control planning team, providing guidance and support.
Develop and maintain detailed production plans/schedules based on customer orders, forecast, inventory strategies, and production capacity to meet or exceed revenue goals.
Provide and maintain customer order commit dates.
Coordinate with procurement, manufacturing, engineering, quality and logistics teams to ensure smooth production flow and timely delivery of products to meet customer need by date or customer request date.
Monitor production performance against production schedules and drive resolution on any issues or delays affecting customer deliveries.
Monitor inventory levels and adjust as necessary based on inventory targets and goals.
Analyze production data and manufacturing performance metrics to identify and resolve any issues or bottlenecks affecting production schedules.
Create and maintain Job Order releases per the production schedule and resolves aging Job Orders across the organization.
Implement and maintain production planning systems and tools.
Focal point of communication between manufacturing and customer service teams as it relates to customer delivery dates and status.
Communicate production plans and updates to relevant stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Continuously improve production control processes to enhance teams' efficiency and reduce non-value add activities.
Train and develop team members to advance their skills and performance.
Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Production Control Planner or in a similar role 5 years and above.
Strong understanding of production planning and inventory management principles.
Proficiency in production planning software (e.g., Epicor, SAP, Oracle).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
Ability to interpret and analyze complex data sets.
Familiarity with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
Leadership and team management skills.
