Supervise and motivate a team of manufacturing operators & technicians to ensure that the production processes are aligned with specified key performance indicators such as quality, productivity, on-time delivery, customer satisfaction, discipline, continuous improvement, and securing profitability.
Ensure the circulation of information, policies, and procedures to subordinates are performed effectively.
Encourage self-management and a high level of responsibility in line with growth culture principles.
ProductionInterface with engineers and other supporting function groups to resolve production issues.
Responsible for operation maintenance, troubleshooting, and informing technical personnel for all repairs and equipment malfunctions.
Provide manufacturing information to management by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data.
Complete production plans by scheduling and assigning personnel, accomplishing work results, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, revising schedules, resolving problems, and reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.
Facilitate corrections to malfunctions within process control points.
Qualify subordinates' skills through structured training plans to meet standard operating procedures and enhance work quality.
Manage subordinates' disciplinary issues by providing coaching and counseling while monitoring their progress.
Ensure subordinates practice 5S and total productive maintenance at the workplace to ensure sustainability of operations.
IMSU/ EHSImplement IMSU/EHS directives in your area of responsibility.
Adhere to IMSU guidelines & local EHS legislations and promote an accident-free workplace.
Lean ManufacturingUtilize processes designed according to the principles of Lean Manufacturing in your work groups.
Ensure that ideas and recommendations from employees are included and observed during the Lean Manufacturing design process.
Any other tasks/projects assigned by your superior(s) from time to time.
Your Profile:Degree/Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical / Manufacturing) with CNC 2+3 or 5-axis knowledge
Minimum 3 years related working experience in managing a production team
LEAN, SAP, SPC, TPM, TWI & QMS knowledge.
Good command of English & Bahasa Malaysia
Experience in an optical manufacturing environment is an added advantage.
