**Job Highlights**- Multinational Company (MNC)- Employee Training & Development- Medical & Insurance CoverageCoordinate the day-to-day activities of maintenance and production workers to ensure that production equipment, machinery, or instruments function reliably and safely and that facilities, buildings, and plants are in good working order.**Function Management**- Responsible for daily coordination of electrical and mechanical maintenance operations and rectification of faults at the production facilities.- Responsible for the shutdown of entire parts of the plant in order to carry out more extensive repairs or maintenance work (requires the involvement and approval of the Production Manager).- Inspect completed work ensuring that repairs have been completed correctly and that production machinery and equipment confirm to specifications and safety standards.- Monitor the condition of maintenance equipment, materials, parts, and tools that are used by maintenance workers in their day-to-day activities.- Daily checking and evaluation of the machine & production logs for limit value deviations.- Creation and implementation of the shift plan for shift leaders and operation team.- Prepare SOP and guidelines on manufacturing process for operation team to carry out their role effectively.- Monitor and take action to ensure availability of raw material stock to keep production running at optimum level.**Quality, Safety, Health and Environment**- Inspect work areas on a continuous basis for possible problems or unusual conditions in the production facilities. Report deficiencies to the Department Managers.- Proper handling of environmentally hazardous substances.- Perform work duties in accordance with Omya Quality Systems Manual procedures.**People Management**- Prioritize and assign tasks so that the team's resources are used effectively and that work schedules and targets are met. Targets include volume, quality and cost/MT of product.- Joint responsibility for the safety of subordinate employees ensuring compliance with the relevant working conditions and working time regulations.- Joint responsibility for education and training of the subordinate employees in organization's operating procedures and standards.- Coach and mentor maintenance staff and assist them to diagnose more complex problems with machinery or equipment problems.**Job Requirements**:- Technical Vocational training in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or equivalent education.- 5 to 6 years of experience in industrial mechanical / electrical maintenance.- Up to 1 year of experience in people management.- Completed training as a machinist or plant electrician.- Demonstrated leadership and operational management skills.- Thorough knowledge of the mechanical / electrical maintenance requirements and procedures for relevant machinery and equipment.- Thorough knowledge of personal computers and data entry as well as programmable logic controllers.- Good command of both oral and written English and Malay are required.- Good command of both oral and written additional language is beneficial.Must be willing to work at Kulim, Kedah**Salary**: RM3,000.00 - RM3,500.00 per month**Benefits**:- Dental insurance- Health insurance- Opportunities for promotion- Parental leave- Professional development- Vision insuranceSchedule:- Day shiftSupplemental pay types:- Attendance bonus- Overtime pay- Performance bonusAbility to commute/relocate:- Kulim: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)Expected Start Date: 09/04/2023
