Follows production and process specifications or instructions and monitors meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, computer systems, and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications.
Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures, performs tests to verify production/process conditions, reports any malfunctions or abnormalities and makes minor adjustments and repairs to equipment, and maintains operating records and reports of test results.
Key Accountabilities:
Tend manual, automatic or semi-automatic machines and related equipment in a continuous production/processing operation.
Follow production/process specifications or instructions of higher-level technical personnel and monitor meters, gauges, valves, flow ratios, temperatures, pressures, and related controls and guidelines to ensure adherence to production/process specifications.
Set up machines requiring a high level of precision and the interaction of multiple variables.
Loads raw material into machine, determines and controls the machine cycle varying and modifying as necessary, and unloads finished product.
Checks work using prescribed gauges, jigs and fixtures to measure close tolerances.
Some machines may be numerically controlled.
Perform tests and checks products routinely for multiple characteristics using standard measuring devices and making some judgments against not readily measurable standards.
Report any malfunctions or abnormalities and make minor adjustments and repairs to equipment.
Maintains production records and logs of equipment and product performance.
May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
Jobs may be of short, medium or long duration requiring frequent change in set up and variation in cycle.
Adjusts set up and process operations accordingly.
Practice all food safety, health and safety procedures, policies and practices.
Attend all required safety and technical training.
Understands and implements those ISO 9000, GMP and HACCAP procedures, that relate to the role and responsibilities of a Production Technician.
Skills & Experience:
Minimum SPM or Professional Certificate
Minimum 1-2 years of work experience in the Food Technology or Industrial Machine.
Good verbal communication skills, active listening skills, ability to write records and simple reports.
Able to analyse issues and solve issues based on SOPs and/or come out solutions according to process.#J-18808-Ljbffr
