Qualifications & Skills :
Proven experience as a personal chef, with a strong focus on nutrition, especially for athletes or individuals with specific dietary needs.
In-depth knowledge of sports nutrition, including the ability to prepare meals that enhance performance and recovery.
Strong culinary skills with the ability to create a variety of meals for both adults and children, accommodating various dietary restrictions (e.g. allergies, vegan, gluten-free).
Excellent organisational skills, capable of planning and managing meal schedules, grocery shopping, and inventory.
Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and last-minute meal requests.
Ability to work independently and in collaboration with other team members (e.g. nutritionists, trainers).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to understand the family's needs and preferences.
Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience is preferred.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Working Conditions :

Key Responsibilities :

Prepare breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks using fresh, high-quality ingredients, ensuring a balance of macronutrients and micronutrients.
Focus on creating meals that support the athlete's training, recovery, and energy levels while maintaining family-friendly options.
Nutritional Support for Performance :
Collaborate with the athlete's nutritionist, trainer, or medical team to design performance-boosting meals.
Adapt meal plans to ensure meals are rich in proteins, healthy fats, and complex carbohydrates to enhance performance and recovery.
Provide appropriate meals and snacks to support the athlete's dietary restrictions or preferences (e.g. gluten-free, dairy-free, high-protein, plant-based).
Grocery Shopping & Inventory Management :
Plan and source fresh, organic, and locally-sourced ingredients for the meals.
Manage grocery inventory, ensure quality control of ingredients, and maintain appropriate food storage conditions.
Place orders for specialised ingredients as required by the athlete's nutritional needs.
Family Meal Preparation :
Prepare a variety of meals for the athlete's family, ensuring dietary preferences and nutritional needs are met.
Tailor meals for children or other family members, considering any food allergies or preferences while maintaining balanced nutrition.
Food Safety & Cleanliness :
Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, adhering to the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.
Ensure proper food storage and handling to prevent contamination and preserve the quality of ingredients.
Special Occasion & Travel Support :
Prepare meals for family events or special occasions, ensuring they are both nutritious and enjoyable for all guests.
