This team is the face of Vantage to our customers and the guaranty of business continuity.
It ensures the operational excellence of our campus and the performance of our customer installations.The Site Operations Department is responsible for all preventative and corrective maintenance.
It is also responsible for upgrading our existing fleet of buildings to provide a best-in-class environment for our customers.
Our culture expects and rewards team performance that engages directly with the customers and the facility infrastructure.Position OverviewVantage is looking for a driven Program Manager, Critical Facilities to facilitate the successful completion of Vantage operations projects on time and within budget under the guidance of the Director, Program Management.
The role will be responsible for overseeing the overall delivery of operational and capital expenditure works that are undertaken on the KUL1 Campus.
Personnel safety and customer operations must be prioritized to ensure no loss of service during any project work.
Collaboration and integration in the operational lifecycle process is integral to the role.
Coordination and translation of requirements from Vantage's internal subject matter experts ensures long term operational sustainability is preserved while driving towards optimized project delivery.
The Program Manager will manage the project delivery, along with external parties (i.e.
authorities, consultants, contractors, vendors as required).Essential Job FunctionsLead the delivery of project activities including utility interfacing, budgets, schedules, procurement strategies and contractor interface.Act as a leader with vision and drive coordination and integration of internal partners within the project.Act as a safety leader while empowering a culture of safety, security and compliance in all aspects of data centre commissioning and integration.Seek advice from internal Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) as necessary, e.g.
Security, Automation, IT, etc.Manage operational constraints.Review MOPs and PTWs to ensure impact to operations is minimized.Manage Operational Change Management process.Duties To implement, and standardize as far as practically possible, Vantage's highest standards of cost, quality and programme control throughout the design, build phase, commissioning, transition and handover phases.Lead, implement and review operational and project safety management procedures to ensure compliance to all mandatory and industry standards.
Lead safety management process to ensure risks are minimized for all personnel and members of public.Assist in contract negotiations to determine design and construction programme and costs, while always ensuring that the highest quality of service is procured.On-board vendors on internal processes, including TPRM, contracts, finance and operational requirements (house rules, MOP, PTW, HIRAC, etc).Identify, track and pursue opportunities to innovate design (in conjunction with SMEs), de-risk programme, manage budget and project quality delivery.Lead and coordinate multiple external stakeholders for the design, construction and delivery of the projects.Assist in preparation of contracts in conjunction with internal legal counsel and procurement and assist with negotiating revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, suppliers contractors and subcontractors.Conduct regular project review meetings with project and project teams both on and off site and report to the broader internal stakeholders and customers on a regular basis.Advise and maintain standards for monitoring design and project program, cost control and project information systems to ensure the successful project delivery in conjunction with the project controls support teams.Prepare weekly and monthly reports based on agreed standard formats that demonstrate and provide accurate information to the Site Operations Leadership team regarding projects currently in execution and that they are being managed for a successful outcome (including relevant financial and cash-flow reports).
Ensure compliance with all relevant local permitting and government/local authority regulations.Ensure all project plans and information are properly communicated and understood by all relevant Vantage staff including costs, design schedules, procurement, M&E technical data, construction issues, contractor invoices and payments, funding requirements, change order notifications and any other issues that might materially affect the progress of each project.Ensure timely resolution of issues and deficiencies and develop and implement contingency plans to recover project costs and schedule slippage when appropriate.Ensure the proper and complete handover of completed works to the Vantage Site Operations.Participate in a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.The role will have a strong focus on contractor management and performance, establishing and managing relationships with key stakeholders and ensuring the efficient and seamless delivery of facilities management services to the facilities.Ensure Vantage policies and procedures are followed.
Job RequirementsBachelor of Science in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or similar field, or equivalent experience.10 to 12 years of experience in a management role required.Complex and technical construction experience is required.Experience in data centre operations required.Experience in CSA (civil, structural, architectural) and/or MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) project / construction management preferred.Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management tools like MS Project or P6.Experience developing executive level presentations.Substantial project management experience preferred with PMP certification.We operate with No Ego and No Arrogance.
