Working closely with the Head of Program and the team, the Project Associate plays a vital role in ensuring projects are aligned with strategic goals, delivered efficiently, and achieve robust outcomes.
Key duties include tracking project performance, preparing comprehensive reports, maintaining meticulous documentation, and fostering effective communication with stakeholders.
By providing hands-on support and ensuring smooth project implementation, the Project Associate helps advance TERAJU Sarawak's mission to drive sustainable Bumiputera socioeconomic development in Sarawak.
Key Responsibilities
Implementation & Monitoring:Support TERAJU Sarawak in implementing and monitoring socioeconomic projects, ensuring timely reporting of outcomes and KPIs to both internal and external stakeholders.
Data Management and Documentation:Maintain and update data, statistics, contact information, and project documentation, ensuring accurate record-keeping and audit compliance.
Stakeholder Engagement:Foster strong relationships and engagement with internal and external stakeholders, including ministries, agencies, universities, private sectors, and business associations.
Administrative and Logistical Support:Provide administrative and logistical support by preparing memos, official letters, meeting notes, minutes of meetings, and draft proposals or reports, and coordinate logistics for meetings.
Site Visits and Execution Support:Provide on-ground support during the execution of projects, including conducting site visits to project locations to ensure the successful roll-out of initiatives.
Qualifications
Qualifications and Experience:Candidates must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Business Studies, Administration, Management, Economics, Law, or an equivalent field, with up to 5 years of working experience in a related field.
Skills and Attributes:Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to handle complex data, prioritize tasks effectively under tight deadlines, and provide insights for informed decision-making.
Knowledge and Expertise:Possesses in-depth knowledge of key industries and economic sectors, with a solid understanding of economic principles, and project management accreditation is highly preferred.
Stakeholder and Relationship Management:Builds strong engagement and relationship management skills across government bodies, private sector partners, NGOs, and other stakeholders to foster collaboration.
Adaptability and Drive:Highly action-oriented, independent, self-motivated, and adaptable in managing multiple priorities within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
