ATS Malaysia is currently seeking a suitable candidate to support and deliver data centre and industrial automation projects to leading companies in Malaysia, focusing specifically on project commissioning delivery and operational support.
The PositionInitially, this role will support the commissioning and support of SCADA, PLC, and electrical panel deployment across datacentre sites in Cyberjaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. You will support datacentre software as well as supporting documentation governed by quality gates through a defined project lifecycle. On completion of each project, you will serve as part of a support group maintaining deployed systems to ensure their operability within the production environment.
The PersonThe right candidate has up to 5 years of experience in a similar role. Knowledge of data centre processes, manufacturing processes, and automation would also be advantageous in this role. The ability to self-manage the project's commissioning as per customer requirements and provide support is critical to this position. The candidate should be an excellent communicator and be able to present root causes clearly and effectively both internally and externally.
Any previous knowledge of commissioning and supporting DC and factory shop floor applications, collection of OEM machine and sensor data, SCADA integration, and safety systems would be greatly beneficial. Candidates should be motivated and capable of the development and application of skills in new and existing technologies. This will be a customer-facing role reporting to a senior customer management level in a multi-vendor environment. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with all levels, internally and externally, in a professional and responsive manner are essential. A willingness to travel is also essential for this position.
ResponsibilitiesSupport and delivery of data centre and shop-floor IT projects including applications such as Ignition developed applications, .NET applications, and shop floor IT which links the shop floor to a corporate system.
Under the direction of the Project/Site Manager, deliver timely and SLA bounded responses to customer calls, dealing with issues through a formal support management process to formal support closure.
Under the guidance of the Project/Site Manager, deliver projects through the full lifecycle from detailed planning to customer/support acceptance.
Interface with all levels of customer stakeholders for detailed planning and delivery of projects & support.
Maintain detailed site records to provide support colleagues with correct and up-to-date information on the supported site status.
Technical Key Skills Required IncludeExperience with data centre and manufacturing/automation applications.
I.T integration to sensor, machine tools, and data collection.
Support process knowledge base.
IT delivery and commissioning experience.
Expected to have:Ignition/SCADA development/support, .NET applications, PLC basic programming and understanding, IIS, basic SQL scripting.Good to have:Data centre or BMS knowledge.Further Key SkillsCustomer-facing experience.
