Project director that is responsible of the successful conclusion of construction projects. To oversee project managers, who coordinate teams to ensure that work is completed on time and within budget, to a high standard. Shall provide leadership to strategically manage risk, monitor finances and ensure each phase of work is started or completed on time. Responsible for overseeing all aspects of a project to ensure the quality is a high standard, and that it is running to the timescales allowed. Responsibilities may include as below but not limited to the following: - Monitoring build progress, overseeing finance and ensuring project quality - Making strategic decisions and providing leadership and direction to project managers to implement those decisions - Meeting with clients, stakeholders, and project managers to report on project progress - Liaising with clients and building strong working relationships - Devising cost-effective plans to enable effective project completion - Managing risks to avoid delays or reputational damage - Ensuring permits and legal papers are secured ahead of the project - Managing project managers and enabling them to supervise and manage their own teams - Monitors on-schedule completion within or below budget in accordance with contractual obligations. - Responsible on the project execution to ensure smooth progress and achieve target date of completion. - Manage the approved of work programme and daily monitoring of site progress and able to solve issues which may cause delay to project. - Preparation of weekly/monthly progress reports, method statement, work programme and progress claim for submission to client. - Liaise with sub-contractor, consultant and client pertaining to project issues. - Attend meeting with consultant, client and to coordinate site meeting with sub-contractor and internal staff meeting or discussion. Responsibilities may differ from time to time and must be updated and recorded accordingly. Qualifications & Requirement - Bachelor's degree or equivalent in any engineering field. - 5 or more years' experience in engineering and construction project management. - Must possess a valid driver's license, Own transport. - Incumbent must have a broad general technical and construction background. - Professional registration and other advanced training are preferred. - Experience with ground up new construction preferred - Proven ability to perform in a management capacity, excellent written and oral communications skills. - Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding team member & suppliers.
