Responsibilities:Confer with engineers, vendors and others to discuss existing or potential engineering projects and products.
Design, implement, maintain, and improve electrical instruments, equipment, facilities, components, products.
Direct and coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.
Perform detailed calculations to compute and establish manufacturing, construction, and installation standards and specifications.
Manage local Engineering in execution of engineering projects, including CAPEX planning and tracking. Assure that projects are delivered on time, within specification and budget.
Perform gap analysis versus current practice and lead corrective actions, ensure that best practices are known and understood within project or study team and that identified company expertise is known and exploited.
Manage infrastructure to provide high-level service for Operations and Business Unit. Ensure budget is planned correctly and monitor spending and accruals.
Supervise preparation of projects in details including AR write up and contingencies, ensure needed teamwork of all involved stakeholders (business, controlling, conversion, QA/SSE, category, etc.)
Provide co-ordination and technical expertise for evaluation of offers and submitting proposals for the most appropriate technical solutions, while ensuring they are cost-effective.
Provide potential supplier identification as well as correct bidding process and evaluation in line with KFI policies and supplier management strategies.
Ensure and lead co-operation with Procurement department in preparation of contracts, providing technical requirements and details in order to support contract negotiation and signature.
Inspect completed installations and observe operations, to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.
Plan and implement research methodology and procedures to apply principles of electrical theory to engineering projects.
Prepare specifications for purchase of materials and equipment.
Supervise and train project team members as necessary.
Oversee project production efforts to assure projects are completed satisfactorily, on time and within budget.
Prepare and study technical drawings, specifications of electrical systems, and topographical maps to ensure that installation and operations conform to standards and stakeholder requirements.
Plan layout of electric power generating plants and distribution lines and stations.
Assist in developing capital project programs for new equipment and major repairs.
Develop budgets, estimating labor, material, and construction costs.
Compile data and write reports regarding existing and potential engineering studies.
Negotiate and maintain relations with vendors and consultants.
Support Project Manager with electrical project establishment and closeout.
Perform electrical developments executing quality, operation and safety enhancements to firm's production lines.
Conduct design of electrical engineering, parameters and review.
Ensure to make decisions related to electrical engineering principles application to operation problems and requirements proposed.
Perform with technical specialists like electrical engineering, process and automation to resolve complete requirement.
Develop and review of complex electrical project calculations.
Prepare documented design inputs.
Review design inputs and review of engineering drawings.
Prepare and review equipment along with material parameters.
Prepare reports and study existing technical information clearly and precisely to make precise project scope and AR's.
Participate in project electrical work plan development.
Prepare BOQ and budgets for project executions.
Guide project installation and commissioning on final load testing.
Provide support to the production process through technical inputs on equipment installation, commissioning and timely maintenance.
Ensure all the relevant documents should be followed during completion of any engineering job.
Arranged back up support of all PLC, instrumentation and controls of all process and utilities equipment.
Assist and manage MEP scope by managing the consultant and MEP contractor.
Requirements:Minimum 5-6 years' experience in an engineering management role in FMCG.
Hands-on experience of project executions in process control, automation and power installations.
Good practical exposure of automation and controls of food processing and utilities equipment.
Innovative problem-solving capability and ability to seek new solutions and ideas.
Team player.
Able to propose alternatives to drive down costs.
Engineering degree in Electronics / Electrical.
Knowledge of PLC programming, inverter and electronics troubleshooting, SADA etc., assimilation of automation system of machineries.
Knowledge of electrical installation, cable sizing, cable layout, power factors, HSE and all relevant documents procedure.
Should have a good knowledge of computer-based Maintenance management system.
