In this position, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.
This role requires you to coordinate the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Planning and CoordinationAssist in the preparation and management of project plans, schedules, and budgets.
Coordinate with the Project Manager to ensure resource availability and project objectives are met.
Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders to define project requirements, deliverables, and expectations.
Site Supervision and ComplianceConduct site inspections and ensure all work is carried out according to safety regulations, quality standards, and project specifications.
Verify work performed by contractors on-site aligns with the project scope, timeline, and budget.
Act as a liaison between contractors and consultants to ensure effective communication and resolution of any issues.
Technical Support and Quality ControlReview technical drawings, plans, and specifications, and ensure compliance with industry standards and codes.
Implement quality assurance processes and monitor compliance with project plans and specifications.
Budget and Cost ManagementAssist in managing project budgets and expenditures, monitoring costs, and reporting any discrepancies.
Prepare and process invoices, purchase orders, and track project costs to ensure budget alignment.
Documentation and ReportingMaintain detailed project records, including daily site reports, progress reports, and inspection records.
Prepare and submit weekly and monthly progress reports, ensuring accurate and timely information for all stakeholders.
Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) ComplianceEnsure all site operations comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Report any unsafe activities or hazards promptly and take corrective action as necessary.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 3 – 5 years of related experience as a Project Engineer or a similar role.
In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry regulations.
Proficiency in project management software and other engineering software.
