Project managers play a key advisory and change/ project leadership role in the projects' early initiation phase (, business casing) to the structuring of the project to implementation and handoff to BAU. To be effective in their role, Project Managers must be (1) resourceful and be strong relationship managers; Building strong working relationships with the project and organizational stakeholders at every level of the organization must be second nature, (2) Bring a blend of strong execution expertise and business knowledge, (3) adept at mitigating and managing risk and (4) have excellent communication, impact/influence and facilitation abilities.As a member of the Project Management team, the Project Manager directs and controls a variety of projects throughout a global organization, ensuring that the projects are conducted on time, within budget using project management best practices to ensure the highest level of quality. Implementing effective governance throughout the project lifecycle and managing the day-to-day operation aspects of the projects – Plan, budget, RAID, Resource and Status to ensure project objectives are achieved. Project Managers also supports the PMO with portfolio and resource planning and reporting.You Will:Ensure successful, timely and effective delivery of change projectsDevelop project plans, budgets and schedules, managing tasks and teams on the project's critical pathBe responsible for scope control with stakeholders, task execution with the project team and relevant upward communication to managers and senior stakeholdersHelp define process improvements and feedback for the project, including any strategies required for timely executionGather or track the completion of necessary artifacts required for development of each project, including but not limited to risk assessments, technical architecture drawings, requirements, design specifications, testing, change plans, etc.Provide feedback to project stakeholders, including specification feedback, issue escalation to managers or scope changes/clarifications to project resourcesUpdate relevant project information in real time and work across all departments to deliver projects that align to the organization's strategic visionAssess and manage risks and issues, take corrective measures accordinglyGuard the viability of the vision and the business caseFlexibility to attend to urgent matters outside of normal business hours if/when neededQualificationsMust have a Financial Services background, preferably Fund Administration or BankingMust have 8+ years' project management, with experience of participating in and leading programmesExperience of delivering change in partnership with business, technology and support functionsDemonstrated technical and business project Management skillsProven track record of effectively managing and delivering multiple projects on-time, within scope and on budgetSuccessful track record in working with business and technology teams to define, develop, test and launch new products/servicesExperience in authoring project plans, building a project budget and technical requirementsExperience with Agile, Lean, waterfall, hybrid and other project management methodologies are beneficialExperience with Smartsheets, Jira, Confluence project management tools are an assetIdeally certified or studying towards a relevant professional Project Management certification (PMP, Scrum/Agile certificates)Additional InformationWhat's in it for you to join MUFG Investor Services?
