Job Overview
The Project Supervisor will be responsible for managing all aspects of retail store construction projects, ensuring timely completion, quality assurance, and adherence to budget.
Acting as the central point of contact for all stakeholders, this role requires excellent coordination and project management skills to deliver successful store openings.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning and Coordination
Develop and oversee project schedules, budgets, and resources for new retail store openings in malls.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to finalize store design and construction plans.
Conduct site assessments to ensure compliance with mall guidelines, safety standards, and local regulations.
Supervision and Oversight
Supervise daily construction activities, including architectural works, interior fit-outs, and installations.
Monitor project progress, resolve on-site issues, and ensure timely delivery of milestones.
Conduct regular inspections to verify that work meets design specifications, quality standards, and branding requirements.
Team and Stakeholder Management
Coordinate and oversee subcontractors, suppliers, and construction teams, ensuring effective communication and execution.
Act as the primary liaison between the company, mall management, and external contractors.
Foster collaboration among all stakeholders and address concerns or challenges promptly.
Quality Control and Compliance
Ensure all construction work complies with safety regulations, mall standards, and company policies.
Implement and monitor quality control measures to ensure high standards in construction and design.
Manage and document any change orders, ensuring approval before implementation.
Budget Management
Track and manage project expenses, ensuring adherence to the approved budget.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and negotiate with vendors and contractors to optimize spending.
Additional Responsibilities
Provide updates to management on project progress, challenges, and recommendations.
Assist in the selection of materials and designs that align with brand guidelines.
Ensure successful handover of completed stores to the operations team, ready for opening.
Requirements
Education : Bachelor's degree or above in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
Experience : At least 3 years of experience managing retail construction projects, especially in mall environments.
Experience in foreign-funded retail chains or store openings is preferred.
Skills : Proficient in CAD and Office software.
Knowledgeable in construction techniques, architecture, interior design, HVAC, fire protection, and mall-specific regulations.
Attributes : Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational and communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Other Requirements : Willingness to travel frequently to project sites.
