Job ResponsibilitiesReceiving items from shipping, check documentation accompanying and update records of receipt.
Note the condition of items and any damage or discrepancy in documents to be noted, item segregated and placed in quarantine and the matter reported to your superior.
Label received items and indicated the storage location as contained in the records.
Place items in their appropriate storage location, update records in the inventory system and file all documents accordingly.
On receipt of approved purchase requests, locate and retrieve items and issue as requested.
Update parts issue records.
File all documents in their appropriate files.
Verify returned items, their condition, appropriate labels, and other documents and process the items as required.
Place the returned items in the appropriate racks/quarantine as necessary and inform the immediate supervisor for further action.
Dispose of returned items as directed by the immediate supervisor.
Prepare items for shipment back to vendors including appropriate protection, packaging, and raising the appropriate Packing List.
Carry out any other tasks given to you by your immediate supervisor.
