As a Public Area Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and overall aesthetic appeal of public spaces within our organization. You will oversee a team of cleaners and ensure that they adhere to high standards of cleanliness and professionalism. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to efficiently manage resources.
Responsibilities: Supervision and Leadership: Lead a team of cleaners, providing guidance, support, and motivation to ensure optimal performance. Cleaning Operations: Coordinate and oversee the cleaning of public areas, including lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and other communal spaces, to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards. Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections of public areas to ensure cleanliness, tidiness, and adherence to established standards. Training and Development: Train new staff members on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and customer service standards. Provide ongoing training and support to existing team members to enhance their skills and efficiency. Inventory Management: Monitor and manage cleaning supplies and equipment inventory, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper maintenance of equipment. Customer Service: Interact with guests and visitors courteously and professionally, addressing any concerns or complaints promptly and effectively. Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and protocols, including the proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment, to maintain a safe working environment for staff and visitors. Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities, inspections, and inventory levels. Prepare regular reports on team performance, cleanliness standards, and any maintenance issues or concerns. Team Communication: Foster open communication and collaboration within the team and with other departments to ensure efficient workflow and problem resolution. Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in cleaning processes, equipment, or procedures, and implement effective solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in hospitality management or related field is a plus. Proven experience in a supervisory role, preferably in the hospitality or facilities management industry. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment, and chemicals. Familiarity with health and safety regulations and protocols. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
