Job Description:
Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, cause papers, affidavits, and submissions.
Manage the timely filing and submission of court documents and applications to relevant authorities.
Assist in case management, including organizing and maintaining case files and documentation.
Attend court proceedings, including case management, hearings, and trials, under the supervision of senior lawyers, when necessary.
Liaise with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders to facilitate case progress and resolution.
Support in preparing for hearings and trials, including drafting outlines, compiling bundles, and conducting pre-hearing briefings.
Ensure compliance with procedural rules and deadlines in all matters.
Provide regular updates and reports to clients on case developments.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Pupil-in-Chambers:
1. Strong interest in legal practice
2. Curiosity and eagerness to learn
Litigation Associates (0-2 YEAR PQE):
1. A genuine passion for the practice of law
2. Good interpersonal skills
3. A practical mindset and readiness to tackle real-world legal issues
4. Organized and detail-oriented
5. Willingness and ability to engage in meaningful intellectual discourse
6. Respect for deadlines and the ability to meet them consistently
