As a Purchaser, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient procurement of products and services essential to our pharmacy operations.
This is a full-time position that offers the opportunity to work closely with the company director, providing hands-on learning and professional growth opportunities in the dynamic healthcare and retail industry.
What You'll Be Doing
Identify, evaluate, and select suitable suppliers to meet the company's procurement needs, focusing on pharmaceuticals, health products, and operational supplies.
Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors to secure optimal pricing and terms.
Monitor and manage supplier performance to ensure timely delivery and quality of products and services.
Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities, including purchase orders, invoices, and inventory levels.
Manage and process returns to suppliers, ensuring accurate documentation and timely resolutions.
Collaborate with retail, warehouse, and finance teams to align procurement strategies with business objectives.
Stay updated on market trends, new products, and industry best practices to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
What We're Looking For
Minimum 3 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably in the pharmacy, healthcare, retail, or logistics industry.
Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Proficient in analysing and interpreting financial and inventory data to support procurement decision-making.
Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of procurement best practices, including processes for managing returns to suppliers.
Proficiency in using procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
