Responsible for assisting with generating purchase orders, following up with delivery of goods ordered, and inventory control. Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all inclusive.
Regularly issuing purchase orders for indirect and direct materials to support dialysis operations;
Regularly generates purchase order report to respective Operation Managers;
Act as a company liaison with vendors, assist in vendor selection and qualification, measure vendor performance and ensure that all terms and conditions of the Purchasing Contract are met with a focus on quality, price, and delivery;
Ascertain and assist in new vendor qualification;
Assists in updating lead times, changes in price, delivery due dates, and all other purchase order data to keep systems current;
Assist in rescheduling, canceling and/or adjusting quantities as required;
Assist in troubleshooting invoices for accounts payable;
Assist in the maintenance of purchase order files, and all other files pertaining to the purchasing function to allow for maximum information retrieval;
Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education, licenses, certifications, and experience required to fulfill the essential duties, including computer skills as required.
1-2 years of purchasing experience;
Must have the ability to work independently, as well as with others in a team environment;
Proficient with MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access;
Knowledge in operating electronic purchasing/inventory system.
