Our client "Smart Industries Sdn Bhd" is seeking a Purchasing Assistant Manager/Manager to join their company!
What you'll be doing?
Strategic Procurement:Develop and implement purchasing strategies, track metrics to reduce expenses, negotiate deals, and manage vendors.
Cost Control:Manage procurement budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
Team Leadership:Supervise, train, and develop the procurement team, setting clear performance goals and providing feedback.
Reporting and Analysis:Provide regular reports on procurement activities and analyze data to improve decision-making.
Supply Chain Management:Oversee pre-purchase management, supplier relationships, PO management, and delivery coordination according to established procedures.
Process Improvement:Ensure all activities align with Standard Operating Procedures and department objectives.
Cost Optimization:Lead cost reduction initiatives, source new materials and suppliers, and manage material and BOM costs on a monthly basis.
Forecasting and Planning:Collaborate with sales teams to analyze forecast information and execute strategic risk buys based on projections.
Data Management:Maintain and monitor crucial procurement records, including sub-contractor data, consignment material information, and freight cost data.
Lead Time Analysis:Review material lead times based on different models, identifying areas for potential improvement.
Reporting and Analytics:Prepare and present cost reduction and KPI reports to top management, driving data-driven decision-making.
Strategic Planning:Update SO summaries and review documents to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Financial Oversight:Sign POs, proposals, and related documents, while proposing improvements and corrections.
Inventory Analysis:Conduct thorough assessments of excess stock to identify opportunities for disposal or resale.
Cross-functional Collaboration:Coordinate with Production, PMC, Engineering, and QC to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
Operational Excellence:Oversee receiving, request forms, and FG activities, providing assistance to maintain seamless processes.
Procurement Leadership:Manage the purchase of store hardware, machinery, tools, and equipment, presenting proposals to top management.
Technology Implementation:Spearhead the implementation of new WMS and MES systems to enhance operational efficiency.
Stakeholder Management:Attend meetings with customers, internal teams, HQ, and suppliers to maintain strong relationships.
Versatile support:Provide valuable assistance across different areas of the organization, contributing to various projects and tasks as needed.
Who are they looking for?
Educational background:Bachelor's Degree in Business or Supply Chain Management.
Relevant experience:3-5 years of experience in procurement, with at least 2 years focusing on electronic and electrical parts.
Language skills:Proficiency in English, Malay, and Mandarin to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholders.
