Responsibilities:
Conduct due diligence and research on existing and potential vendors, suppliers, and contractors.
Evaluate and compare quotations and offers to secure the most competitive pricing and terms.
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure efficient and cost-effective sourcing solutions.
Procurement & Cost Control:
Manage the procurement process from requisition to payment, ensuring orders meet project specifications and deadlines.
Negotiate contracts, policies, and purchase orders with vendors to obtain favorable terms, including pricing, payment schedules, and delivery timelines.
Track stock levels, purchasing patterns, and construction materials to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
Logistics & Delivery:
Arrange transportation and logistics to ensure timely and efficient delivery of construction materials to project sites.
Monitor and coordinate delivery schedules to minimize delays and disruptions to project timelines.
Documentation & Reporting:
Prepare and maintain accurate records of purchase orders, invoices, and payment processes.
Track purchased products and services, ensuring all transactions are documented and reconciled.
Generate and present detailed purchasing reports with actionable recommendations to management.
Operational Efficiency:
Collaborate with project managers and site supervisors to understand material requirements.
Ensure all procurement activities align with company policies and project budgets.
Requirements:
Strong organizational skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records.
Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
Fluent in spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Possess own transport.
