About the roleWe are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Purchasing Clerk to join our team. As a Purchasing Clerk, you will play a vital role in our Transport & Logistics operations, ensuring the efficient procurement of materials and supplies. This is a full-time position that offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
What you'll be doing
Manage the procurement process, including raising purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and liaising with suppliers
Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records, ensuring stock levels are maintained to meet production and operational demands
Conduct market research to identify the best suppliers and negotiate favourable pricing and terms
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely delivery of materials and supplies
Assist with the implementation and maintenance of purchasing policies and procedures
Provide administrative support to the procurement team as required
What we're looking for
Minimum 2 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably within the Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics industry
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders
Proficient in using relevant computer software, especially Microsoft Excel
A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records
A collaborative team player with a flexible and adaptable approach
