Minimum Requirements:
Diploma in any discipline or Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
Minimum 3 years of work experience in sourcing or work related to the manufacturing sector as a service provider.
Excellent computer skills (Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint).
Proficient in appropriate software such as inventory system or ERP.
Experience sourcing in the manufacturing industry EMS/OEM or automation/machine service industry.
Critical thinking and negotiation skills.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Strong problem-solving abilities.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Prepare the procurement/sourcing plan for local and international purchases.
Source and procure mechanical components, and fabrication parts required for production.
Select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance; negotiate terms and conditions.
Develop an effective and accurate system for monitoring purchase orders.
Process requisitions and update management on status of orders.
Update inventory and ensure that stock levels are kept at appropriate levels.
Arrange transport of goods and track orders to ensure timely delivery.
Analyze market trends and apply this knowledge to make insightful buying decisions.
Assess quality of stock received and escalate any discrepancies to suppliers and management.
Collaborate with management, engineering, and production teams to understand technical requirements and ensure that purchased materials meet specifications.
Deliver a weekly purchase order report to supervisors that indicates the invoice number for all closed orders.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers; conduct regular meetings with suppliers.
Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and all supplier data in record.
Supervise current projects and coordinate all team members to keep workflow on track.
Ensure engineering requirements for site installation are prepared and ready for site progress.
Manage RFQs (Request for quote) from the client side and submit the proposal.
