About the roleAnsell is seeking a talented Purchasing Executive to join our team in Shah Alam, Selangor.
In this full-time position, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our manufacturing and supply chain operations, ensuring we maintain efficient and cost-effective procurement processes.
What you'll be doing
Manage the end-to-end purchasing process, including sourcing, negotiating, and placing orders for raw materials, components, and other goods required for production.
Liaise with suppliers to obtain competitive pricing, maintain strong relationships, and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
Monitor and analyse purchasing data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve procurement strategies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as production and logistics, to align purchasing activities with overall business objectives.
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to all purchasing activities.
Support the implementation of procurement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
What we're looking for
At least 1 year of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably within the manufacturing of gloves industry.
Strong negotiation and communication skills to effectively interact with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to optimize purchasing processes and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Working knowledge of procurement software and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing business needs.
