Purchasing Manager/Assistant Manager

Responsible for purchasing and procurement functions for Local and Oversea purchase.Sourcing materials, goods, products, and services and negotiating the best or most cost-effective contracts and deals.To review and update existing and new products' costs and quality to recommend opportunities for cost optimization.Follow up closely with the shipping & forwarding agent on all the import shipments from China or other countries.Deal with suppliers on quality issues, product replacement, sample requests, and pricing.Provide product costing for the sales team and time to time update costing.Able to manage a team of purchasers and work in a team.Handle other ad-hoc matters from time to time assigned by superior. Requirements: - The candidate must possess a Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate in Purchasing / Material Management or equivalent.Required language(s): Mandarin (must) Bahasa Malaysia, English.At least 3-5 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.Add advantage if knows ERP system.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Able to communicate effectively at all levels.Able to work with minimum supervision.
