Vendor Selection & Management: To identify & evaluate new/potential suppliers, negotiate contracts & manage relationships with existing suppliers to ensure timely & reliable delivery of goods & services.- Departmental work process & procedures: Strive for continuous improvements and regularly review work processes & procedures with the objective of optimizing work rate & efficiency.- Cost Management: Analyzing market pricing trends, negotiating prices with suppliers & implementing cost-saving strategies to minimize expenses.- Inventory Management: Plan material & consumables purchases *& deliveries based on the Production schedule avoiding shortages/excess stock thereby maintaining appropriate inventory levels.- Quality Control: Ensuring that purchased goods & services meet quality standards & specifications, conducting regular inspections/audits at suppliers' premises when necessary.- Risk Management: Identifying & mitigating potential risks associated with supply chain disruptions, changes in market conditions/ other factors that could impact procurement operations.- Collaboration: Working closely with various departments such as Production, Maintenance & QA understanding their procurement needs & aligning purchasing strategies with overall company business goals.- Supplier Relationship Management: Building & maintaining positive relationships with key suppliers to foster collaboration, communication & long-term partnerships.- Other: And any other job as assigned by the Management from time to time.**Requirement**:- Education: Possess a degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing). a related field to demonstrate a strong foundation in purchasing & procurement knowledge & practices- Experience: Have a minimum of 5 years experience in the role of a Purchasing Manager & familiarity working in a Manufacturing environment.
