Duties and Responsibilities:Developing the supplier base to meet quality and on-time delivery requirements as well as developing new suppliers as required to meet stated objectives.
Maintain regular supplier quality and on-time delivery metrics - providing monthly reporting.
Evaluating and executing cost reductions and quality improvements within the supply chain.
Participating as a key player in new process and product development.
Facilitate achievement of team and professional goals; develop and review staff professional development plans.
Serve as interface with product managers and NPI teams to improve time to market.
Ensure adherence to internal standards and practices.
Identify means to improve efficiencies/speed of routine work; lead efforts to implement change.
Take overall responsibility for team quality control and process improvement.
Recruit, hire and develop an optimally staffed, technically proficient and highly motivated team.
Regularly communicate departmental information.
Provide regular feedback both to staff and manager -- promote strengths, identify areas for improvement.
Build consistent team understanding of objectives, standards, procedures; develop regular and open means of team communication (staff meetings, status reports, individual meetings).
Coordinate staff to ensure that projects are delivered on-time and at the lowest cost without compromising quality.
Help establish work schedules with realistic milestones and resources -- resolve resource conflicts.
Developing, recommending and implementing purchasing procedures.
Minimum Education:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university preferred.
Desired Training and Experience Required:5 years of related management experience.
Must be a team player committed to working in a quality environment.
Strong demonstrated communication, negotiation and customer satisfaction skills required.
Agile experience a plus.
Some travel required.
Extensive knowledge of the fundamentals of purchasing and negotiating necessary.#J-18808-Ljbffr
