Purchasing Officer

SCOPE OF ROLE:
Assisting in handling the PO system, preparing and processing requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment.
Assisting with daily departmental activities and purchasing functions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist with purchasing functions and manage daily departmental operations.
Prepare purchase orders and send them to related vendors.
Work with vendors to follow up on delivery dates and back orders.
Handle purchasing tasks such as obtaining quotations, issuing purchase orders to suppliers, and monitoring product delivery.
Review, verify, and check the details of delivery orders and purchase orders.
Ensure goods are delivered on time.
Collaborate with all departments as required and maintain good communication.
Undertake ad-hoc duties assigned by management from time to time.
REQUIREMENTS:
Candidate must possess at least a Diploma in any field or equivalent.
Computer literate.
Required language(s): English or Bahasa Malaysia.
Applicants must be willing to work in Penang.
Candidate must have good negotiation and interpersonal skills.
Able to work in a team.
