Purchasing & Procurement Manager

The Purchasing Manager is responsible for sourcing and procuring materials, goods, and services necessary for the company's operations.
This role involves developing and implementing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality products within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Strategy:Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to reduce costs and improve product quality.
Analyze market trends and apply this knowledge to make insightful buying decisions.
Identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities to meet company standards.Supplier Management:Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers.
Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers.
Monitor supplier performance and resolve any issues or discrepancies.Budget Management:Prepare and manage the procurement budget.
Monitor and control procurement expenses to stay within budget.
Report on cost-saving initiatives and procurement performance.Operational Efficiency:Ensure timely delivery of materials and products to support production schedules.
Collaborate with other departments to forecast demand and plan procurement accordingly.
Implement inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels and reduce waste.Compliance and Risk Management:Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
Manage risks associated with the supply chain, including delays, shortages, and quality issues.Team Leadership:Supervise and train procurement staff.
Foster a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
Set performance goals and conduct regular performance evaluations.Working Experience:
Proven experience as a Purchasing Manager or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supply chain management, and market research.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in MERP and Microsoft Office.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
Education and Qualification:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Expected salary: RM6,000 - RM7,000 per month.
