Conduct inspections and tests on incoming materials, in-process items, and finished products to ensure they meet required specifications and standards.
Establish quality benchmarks, testing methodologies, and inspection criteria based on product specifications and industry standards.
Collect and analyze quality-related data (eg. defect rates, production issues) to identify trends, problems, or areas of improvement.
Investigate product defects or failures and perform root cause analysis to identify underlying issues and suggest corrective actions.
Collaborate with production teams to implement continuous improvement measures to enhance product quality and reduce defects.
Ensure compliance with relevant quality standards and maintain accurate records and reports for audits.
Ensure all measuring and testing equipment is calibrated and functioning properly to maintain accurate quality inspections.
Train production staff on quality standards and inspection procedures to ensure everyone understands the quality requirements.
Collaborate with design, engineering, production, and procurement teams to address quality-related issues and ensure smooth production workflows.
Ensure that quality control processes adhere to safety and environmental regulations and promote safe working practices within the team.
Investigate customer complaints related to product quality, conduct root cause analysis, and provide feedback or corrective actions.
Requirements:
Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering field.
Minimum 2 years of practical work experience in QA & QC field, preferably in the same or similar industry.
Understanding of different production processes (eg. CNC machining, injection molding, assembly lines).
Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards.
Proficiency in using various testing and inspection methods.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for reporting and documentation.
Knowledge of CAD software.
Attention to details, communication skills, team collaboration, and leadership.
