The Quality Control (QC) Inspector is responsible for performing inspection duties to ensure that materials, components, and final products meet specified quality standards and regulatory requirements.
The inspector will use various tools, equipment, and procedures to evaluate the quality and functionality of products, identify defects, and collaborate with production teams to resolve issues.Key Responsibilities:
Inspection & Testing:
Perform visual, mechanical, and functional inspections of materials, parts, and final products to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
Use precision instruments (calipers, measuring tape, gauges, etc.)
to measure and evaluate product dimensions and tolerances.
Conduct routine testing (e.g., pull push tests, drop tests, etc.)
to ensure product performance.
Inspect incoming raw materials to confirm that they meet company specifications.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate inspection records, reports, and checklists for all quality inspections performed.
Record any defects, non-conformances, or issues found during inspections and report them to the relevant teams.
Prepare and maintain detailed reports on inspection outcomes, including any corrective actions taken.
Document and track trends in product quality and performance to identify potential areas for improvement.
Compliance & Standards:
Ensure products meet industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal quality standards.
Assist in the development and revision of quality control procedures and specifications.
Conduct audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and health regulations.
Work closely with production teams to identify and resolve quality issues.
Provide feedback to manufacturing teams about quality defects and suggest corrective actions.
Support the training of employees in quality control standards and practices.
Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance product quality and reduce defects.
