Salary Range: Basic MYR9,000 – MYR14,000
Working Days: Mon - Fri
Working Hours: 9am – 6pm
Job Responsibilities
Responsible for end to end spectrum of Contract Management.
Manage and administer construction contracts from inception to completion. Ensure all contractual obligations are met and manage any variations or disputes.
Responsible for drafting and review contractual documents and dealing with contractual disputes and/or issues.
In charge of tendering exercise especially tender, including calling of tender, review tender reports, attend tender interviews, negotiate, finalize, and prepare recommendation report to Management for award of contracts.
Prepare and control project budgets, ensuring that costs are accurately tracked and managed. Provide cost advice and financial reporting.
• Tendering and Procurement:
Prepare tender documents, evaluate bids, and assist in the selection of contractors and suppliers. Negotiate and manage subcontracts.
• Valuations and Payments:
Conduct valuations for interim and final payments. Ensure accurate and timely processing of payments.
• Project Planning and Scheduling:
Assist in the development of project schedules and monitor progress to ensure timely delivery of projects.
Identify and assess potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize financial and contractual risks.
Maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders. Communicate project financial status and address any concerns.
Ensure all work complies with relevant legal, regulatory, and professional standards.
Prepare detailed reports on project progress, costs, and financial performance. Provide regular updates to senior management.
Pre-qualification of tenderers, evaluate and recommend to Management.
Stay updated with industry best practices, standards, and technologies. Implement improvements to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Minimum the project costing.
• Ensure the project timeline delivery timely.
• Ensure the project resource is utilized at the optimal level.
• Zero complaint during/after the handover of the project.
Job Requirement
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
ii. Job Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying and contract management within the construction industry.
iii. Specific skills & Computer Skills:
Proficiency in quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam, MS Project). Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
i v. Personal characteristics:
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
- Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations.
v. Professional Certifications:
- BQSM certification
