Job Description:
Quality Management System (QMS):
· Maintain, improve and implement QMS in compliance with AS9100 standards.
· Establish, maintain and improve internal Quality Procedure, SOP, etc.
· Prepare and present quality reports and metrics to management.
· Plan and conduct Internal process/ product Audit.
· Plan, host and support external (customer, regulatory and other 3rd parties) audits.
· Responsible for authoring and reviewing necessary technical documentation.
· Ensure Masterlist of Document Register & customer data pack and specs are always updated and available in server.
· To ensure each personnel is competent to perform their work, and that their competency authorization is regularly updated.
· To involve actively in all Advance Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities.
· To assist in setting up and implementing manufacturing process based on customer requirement in drawing & process specifications.
· To perform a gap analysis on the new potential manufacturing process and process specification change and efficiently cascade relevant information to all stakeholders.
· Identify opportunities for operational efficiency improvements, process improvement, enhanced product quality, and cost reduction.
· Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the organization.
Inspection and Testing:
· Responsible for managing & supervising the QC activities performed by QAQC Junior Engineers / QC Inspector.
· To ensure all products delivered to customer meet relevant customer standards.
· Develop Control Plan, Inspection Plan, Inspection sheet, and Work Instructions (inspection operation) for new and existing project.
· Prepare FAI report.
· Conduct and oversee inspections and tests of incoming materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
· Ensure inspection and test equipment used are calibrated.
· Assist and support procurement team in getting the right quality equipment.
· Provide technical support to technicians and engineers on quality-related matters.
· Prepare and maintain quality records, documentation, and reports.
Non-Conformance Management:
· To drive MRB team to investigate non-conformance related to customer complaints/internal rejection/customer quality concerns/supplier, and analyzing root cause, develop and implement robust corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and manage the disposition of non-conforming products.
· To document non-conformance and ensure all records are well-kept.
· Collect and analyze data related to product quality and manufacturing processes, identify trends, root causes of defects, and areas for improvement.
· Conduct SPC study for inspection reduction.
Customer Interaction:
· To be focal point to liaise with customer/ new customer in quality-related matters.
· Ensure customer requirements are understood and met throughout the manufacturing process.
· To coordinate customer complaints/quality concerns raised by respective project customer related to quality issue and response to the customer in a timely manner.
Supplier Quality Management:
· Evaluate and qualify new suppliers and conduct periodic audits of existing suppliers.
· Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and improve supply chain quality performance.
· Monitor supplier performance and maintain supplier quality metrics.
Qualification, Skill & Experience:
Strong understanding of quality management systems (QMS).
Knowledge of AS9102 First Article Inspection requirements and forms.
Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
Good understanding of CMM inspection principle.
Experience with using various measurement & testing equipment to assess product quality.
Familiarity with precision machining for metallic, sub-assembly, heat treatment process, surface treatment process is added advantages.
Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC), and quality tools such as FMEA, PFMEA, and root cause analysis (8D, 5Why, fishbone, etc).
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Manufacturing or related field) or equivalent experience.
3-5 years of experience in quality engineering or quality assurance in a manufacturing environment.#J-18808-Ljbffr
