Job Title: Inspector – Quality ControlThe Inspector – Quality Control reports directly to the Manager – Quality Control. He is responsible for ensuring all quality inspections & tests are carried out in accordance with the Quality Management System (QMS) Procedures, Applicable Codes, Standards and Specifications.
Responsible for ensuring that the departmental quality objectives and project requirements are met.
Responsible for the compliance and execution of both ASME Manual and QMS at workshop and site.
Responsible for ensuring inspection and test related work are executed as per the Inspection & Test Plan (ITP) and project's approved procedures.
Responsible for ensuring all sub-contacted works are carried out in accordance to the applicable project requirements and proper implementation.
Carry out all quality related inspections and tests in accordance with the ITP and Project Specific Procedures.
Monitor and carry out product verification, ensuring compliance to project's specific requirements and tests.
Perform timely inspection of Inspection Points identified on the Traveller's Check List for shop constructions and field assemblies in accordance with SDJ ASME QC Manual.
Prepare all relevant inspection reports for all stages of inspections.
Welding parameter monitoring and welder's performance.
Coordinate, monitor and quality verification on NDE, Painting, Galvanizing and other similar sub-contracted works.
Ensure timely execution of NDE by sub-vendor to ensure timely readiness of product.
Liaise with customer, end user, 3rd Party and other external inspection authorities on inspection and test activities.
Carry out final inspection and product release certificates.
Responsible for raising the NCR on detection of an item not conforming to the relevant Codes, Standards and Specifications requirements.
