Quality Control (Qc) Assistant

The Quality Control Assistant is responsible for ensuring that products meet the company's quality standards and regulatory requirements.
This position involves inspecting materials, products, and production processes to identify defects, testing products for compliance, and ensuring overall product quality throughout the production process.
Key Responsibilities
Product Inspection & TestingConduct inspections and tests on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
Perform visual and functional quality checks on products during production and prior to shipment.
Record and document all findings from quality tests and inspections.
Defect Identification & Issue ResolutionIdentify defects or discrepancies in products and report them to the production and management teams.
Investigate root causes of quality issues, and work with relevant departments to implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
Quality Assurance DocumentationMaintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and quality control checks.
Ensure traceability and proper documentation for all quality control activities, including test reports and defect logs.
Prepare quality reports and communicate findings to management regularly.
Compliance & StandardsEnsure compliance with company quality standards, industry regulations, and relevant safety guidelines.
Assist in maintaining certifications and ensuring products meet the necessary regulatory requirements.
Help prepare for internal and external audits and inspections.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.
Recommend improvements in the production process to reduce defects and waste.
Work closely with the production team to identify opportunities for better quality practices.
Training & DevelopmentTrain production and operations staff on quality control processes, standards, and best practices.
Ensure that all staff are familiar with quality expectations and procedures for each product line.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Engineering, Manufacturing, or Quality Management.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a quality control role, preferably within the Pet food Industry.
Strong understanding of quality control processes, techniques, and regulatory standards.
Knowledge of quality control tools such as statistical process control (SPC) and root cause analysis.
Proficient in using quality testing equipment and software for documentation and reporting.
Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Preferred Skills
Experience with laboratory testing or familiarity with industry-specific testing procedures.
