Job summary
The Quality Manager will lead and implement quality management systems in compliance with ISO standards, focusing on product inspection, process efficiency, and continuous improvement. This role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest standards of quality and operational excellence.
Job description 1. Quality Management: Develop and maintain a robust quality management system, encompassing quality assurance, environmental health and safety, and continuous improvement. Lead corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes, including root cause analysis, corrective action implementation, and effectiveness monitoring. Strategically manage supplier relationships and implement customer quality initiatives, leveraging strong leadership and organizational skills to ensure the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction. Non-conformity management, establish and implement a robust framework for managing non-conformities, promptly addressing issues related to product specifications, component specifications, procedures, and technical standards. Ensure timely validation of processes according to set requirements and special methods (e.g., 3Q-IQ installation qualification, OQ operational qualification, PQ performance qualification), particularly focusing on automated processes with minimal human involvement. Drive continuous improvement initiatives across quality management processes to enhance product quality, operational efficiency, and environmental health and safety performance. Oversee the comprehensive control and analysis of process efficiency Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) on a monthly basis, identifying areas for improvement. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of quality objectives with organizational goals. 2. Quality Audits (Internal & External) Develop, maintain and update frameworks for both internal and external audits i.e. customers, suppliers, certification bodies to ensure comprehensive review and analysis of processes, documents, and compliance with standards. Plan and execute annual internal audits, as well as coordinate readiness for external audits by customers and certification bodies.  Lead audit processes, including both planned and ad-hoc audits, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to develop audit conclusions, solutions, and action plans. Ensure timely implementation of corrective actions based on audit findings, including assigning responsibilities and monitoring follow-up actions. 3. Quality Assurance and Customer Claims Management Develop and maintain procedures for handling quality-related customer claims, including audits requested by customers or arising directly from customer interactions. Conduct regular analyses of customer claims to identify trends and root causes, proposing proactive solutions to prevent future issues. Ensure effective follow-up and implementation of corrective and preventive actions for customer claims, coordinating with relevant departments to address concerns promptly and comprehensively. 4. Compliance, Documentation, and Procedures Management Regularly review, develop, and update company policies, procedures, and documentation in accordance with standards, customer requirements, and legal obligations. Ensure consistent adherence to local and company policies and procedures across all departments, meeting legal and regulatory requirements. Develop and maintain production documents based on quality process requirements and changes, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Proactively develop change orders before their occurrence, documenting all changes and operations in compliance with company protocols. 5. Personnel and Performance Management Establish departmental key performance indicators (KPIs) aligned with organizational objectives and develop a reporting framework to measure performance. Plan departmental resources, identify training needs and ensure timely implementation of training plans to enhance employee skills and performance.
Provide leadership and guidance to direct reports, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Develop annual and periodic performance goals for direct reports and ensure departmental activities follow the agreed performance management system. . 6. Budget and Resource Management: Prepare departmental budgets in alignment with organizational goals and recommend approval by the managing director. Ensure that departmental activities are in line with the budget, optimizing resource allocation and maximizing cost-effectiveness. 7. Environmental Health and Safety: Take responsibility for preserving and protecting the company's internal and external environment, adhering to company environmental management policies and regulations. Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions as needed. 8. Others   Any other ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the managing director.  Qualifications & Requirements Candidate must possess a professional certificate or bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical) or a related field.  Proven track record with over 3 years of hands-on experience in Quality management roles in the EMS industry.  Proven expertise in implementing and maintaining ISO quality management systems, along with a comprehensive understanding of quality assurance methodologies such as 8D, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP). Thorough knowledge and hands-on experience in SMT processes and THT processes and other PCB assembly processes, with a deep understanding of the intricacies involved in manufacturing complex electronic assemblies. A strategic thinker with the ability to conceptualize and drive forward-thinking quality initiatives, adapting to the evolving needs of a dynamic business environment. Capable of hands-on, proactive engagement across end-to-end operations, demonstrating strong analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail to identify root causes and devise targeted solutions for enhancing operational performance through continuous improvement initiatives. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written and proficiency in standard office software applications like the Microsoft Office suite.
