ResponsibilitiesTeam Leadership:Lead and supervise the quality team to ensure effective and efficient execution of quality assurance activities, including product inspections, testing, and documentation.
Provide training, guidance, and performance evaluations to team members.
Quality Control Management:Oversee the implementation and execution of quality control processes throughout the production cycle.
Ensure products meet company, industry, and customer quality standards.
Process Improvement:Identify areas for process optimization and quality improvement within manufacturing operations.
Lead initiatives to enhance product quality and reduce defects through methods like Six Sigma, Lean, or other continuous improvement strategies.
Quality Audits and Inspections:Conduct regular quality audits and inspections of production processes, raw materials, and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Ensure timely and thorough reporting of findings.
Root Cause Analysis:Lead investigations into product defects, process failures, or quality issues, performing root cause analysis to identify and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Supplier Quality Management:Collaborate with sourcing teams to ensure that incoming raw materials and components meet quality standards.
Participate in supplier evaluations and audits as needed.
Documentation and Reporting:Oversee the creation and maintenance of detailed records, reports, and documentation related to quality control activities, inspections, and audits.
Ensure that quality records comply with internal and regulatory requirements.
Compliance:Ensure compliance with all applicable quality standards, regulations, and certifications (e.g., ISO 9001, FDA, etc.).
Prepare for and assist with external audits and certification processes.
Training and Development:Develop and implement quality training programs for production and quality teams to ensure awareness of quality standards, tools, and procedures.
Collaboration:Work closely with production, engineering, and other departments to ensure quality is integrated into the production process and that quality-related issues are resolved promptly.
Customer Complaint Resolution:Handle customer complaints related to product quality, ensuring proper investigation and resolution.
Ensure that corrective actions are implemented and communicated to relevant parties.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):Monitor and report on quality-related KPIs, including defect rates, customer satisfaction, and product yield.
Use data-driven approaches to identify trends and areas for improvement.
